Welcome to The Welcome Table.
This is the first edition of DFWROS's monthly letter — a place where we share one family's story, the month's numbers, the families who need help next, and the small wins from across our community.
Twelve issues a year. Nothing else — except the rare alert when a family needs emergency help.

Ten years. One sold-out gala. And all of you.
On May 3rd, our 10-Year Anniversary Gala filled MAS Dallas with the people who built DFWROS into what it is today — and we are still in awe. From the bottom of our hearts: thank you.
To every guest who attended. To our sponsors who made the evening possible. To our donors — lifetime and first-time — who gave generously. To our board and volunteers who poured months of love into the planning. And to every supporter who has walked alongside us through these ten years. We left that night with full hearts. The next decade starts now.

Thirty women practiced English. Four learned to drive. Fifteen families navigated paperwork they could not have managed alone. Twenty households received groceries every single week. That was May.

Every week, twenty families come to our pantry. Every week, we look them in the eye, hand them groceries, and say: you belong here.

Beyond the Numbers
What our team carried.
|
| ✦Food stamp & Medicaid applications — navigating the paperwork together, in the languages our families speak. |
| ✦Job applications & resume support — pairing newcomers with DFW employers who value their skills. |
| ✦Weekly grocery distribution — twenty-plus families, every week, no questions asked. |
| ✦Standing with families in ICE detention — court accompaniment, communication, basic needs while loved ones are held. |
| ✦Walking with survivors of domestic violence — safe-housing referrals, legal navigation, and ongoing care. |

We Need Your Help
Two single moms need cars.
|
|
Two refugee mothers in our community are doing everything right — kids in school, working toward employment, taking our driving classes. The one thing holding them back is a reliable car.
If you have a car. If you know someone with a car. If you can give toward one. We're listening.

A Note From Our Founder
|
We are a small team doing big work. This newsletter is one of the ways we say thank you — and one of the ways we ask for the help we need. If something here moved you, please forward this to one friend who'd care. That's how this community grew, and it's how it keeps growing.
