From working with UNICEF to running his own business, his life was upended overnight. Now in the U.S., Hashmatullah is determined to rebuild and provide a safe future for his family.

Why He Came to the U.S.
Forced to flee Afghanistan under life-threatening circumstances due to the Taliban occupation, Hashmatullah left behind a successful career working with UNICEF, KBR Construction, and running his own fruit and vegetable distribution business. Now starting over in the U.S., he is determined to rebuild stability and a better future for his family, while also giving back to the local community through DFWROS as well as supporting his family and friends back home.
